Random Fact: Roald Dahl
Roald Dahl’s birthday, 13 September, is also International Chocolate Day (he would have been 100 this year). It may or may not be connected, as it’s also Milton Hershey’s birthday (founder of Hershey Chocolate Co). Dahl’s parents were Norwegian and he was named after Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen. He is best known for writing children’s stories, but he also wrote the screenplays for You Only Live Twice and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. His book James and the Giant Peach was originally going to be called James and the Giant Cherry.
