Life and Death
On the day the Duchess of Cambridge had Princess Charlotte, the little cat that moved in with us, Sooki, had her kittens. Three little babies, two gingers and a black and white one.
Once the first one was born the other two followed quickly and all were born within about an hour. Newborn kittens aren’t something we’re familiar with; we always have our cats neutered, but as Sooki isn’t (or wasn’t!) ours, we haven’t done anything about that. Something that will change, if she isn’t microchipped – she’s obviously decided she wants us as her slaves!
However, we have now had to say goodbye to one of our older cats, Rhen. An old lady of 18, she was a stray when we took her in approximately 16 years ago.
It seems natural, rather than upsetting.
The circle of life.
This is a beautiful post. I’m so sorry about your beautiful girl Rhen. It is natural, yet it is very sad. Nothing is permanent and things happens for a reason. Hopefully you can keep the babies and her mom. Best wishes.
